IRISH WEEK FESTIVAL
COMMUNITY INFORMATION TABLES

SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2008
SUNDAY, MARCH 16, 2008
MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2008

The Irish Week Festival is a member of the Seattle Center Cultural Festivals organization and adopts as its own the Seattle Center Cultural Festivals' mission statement.

Our mission is to present non-political celebrations of  Irish art, Irish history, Irish education, and Irish music  performances, faithful to Irish traditions, dedicated to Irish cultural and ethnic preservation, and presented for the enjoyment and education of all the people of
our region.

In line with that Mission Statement, the Irish Week Festival will set aside a limited number of Community Information Tables, as space permits and as allocated by the Festival Committee, for the use of non-profit organizations during Irish Week Festival 2008. The intent is to permit nonprofit groups that are not  affiliated with the Irish Heritage Club to have an opportunity to dispense information to attendees. The views and opinions of these groups may not necessarily reflect those of the Irish Heritage Club or of its members.

Nonprofit groups that want to use these tables will be required to adhere to the following Community Information Table Guidelines.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION TABLE GUIDELINES

* - Approval of a Nonprofit Organization for use of a Community Information Table is dependent upon  completion of the Community Information Table  Application Form, and the signing of a formal Community Information Table Contract.

* - Application priority will be given to nonprofit groups that have previously participated in the Irish Week Festival, and to nonprofit groups that are already involved with Seattle's Irish community.

* - Nonprofit organizations may distribute materials that do not conflict with any applicable law or the  Mission Statement of the Seattle Center Cultural Festivals.  To that end, all handouts are subject to review by the Seattle Center Cultural Festivals organization.

* - The Community Information Tables are for the distribution of printed information only.

* - Food may not be provided at the Community Information Table to any attendee at the festival.

* - The participating nonprofit organization may not distribute any kind of information away from the Community Information Table at any other location within the Irish Week Festival area.

* - Signage and posters must be displayed in accordance with the rules of the Seattle Center and the Irish Week Festival committee. They may not be displayed in such a
manner that they obstruct the views of other participants or the view of permanent focal points, i.e. stairs, doorways, elevators, business entries or public facilities.

* - An adult member of the participating nonprofit organization must be continuously present at the Community Information Table during all operating hours
on each day of the festival. In 2008, the operating hours are 12 Noon - 6 PM on March 17 and 18.

* - The participating nonprofit organization is responsible for having their Community Information Table staffed and all display material and handouts in place no later than 12 Noon each day. The participating nonprofit organization is also responsible for taking down and storing all display material and handouts at 6 PM each day.

* - The use of audio amplification is not permitted at Community Information Tables.

* - Each participating nonprofit organization must accept responsibility for ensuring that all individuals staffing the tables are familiar with and adhere to these guidelines.

* - Failure to adhere to any of these guidelines may result, at the discretion of the Irish Week Festival Committee, in forfeiture of the privilege of further participation in the 2008 Irish Week Festival, or in any future Irish Week Festival.

To complete a Community Information Table Application, go to
Community Information Table Application.

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 1, 2008.
